Magswitch Cobot MagBase intended for use with collaborative robotic arms. The Cobot magnetic base firmly fixtures collaborative robots on ferrous materials with a twist of the wrist. The Magswitch MagBase is available in two sizes: Smaller UR3/3e5/5e and the Larger UR10/10e/16e (intended for two-person carry). Magswitch pivoting arrays can be anchored to flat and cylindrical surfaces and feature a wide footprint to reduce the risk of peel when the end effector is at its greatest radius. The array pivot points contain electrically isolating bushings and washers to ensure welding and static transient voltages on the part/substrate are decoupled from the robot ground.

Magswitch Cobot MagBase intended for use with collaborative robotic arms. The Cobot magnetic base firmly fixtures collaborative robots on ferrous materials with a twist of the wrist. The Magswitch MagBase is available in two sizes: Smaller UR3/3e5/5e and the Larger UR10/10e/16e (intended for two-person carry). The COBOT MagBase (81001276) intended for use on the UR3e/UR5e size robots can achieve a maximum holding force of 2,038 lbf/ 925 kgf on 0.18in / 4.76mm thick optimal ferrous material. The COBOT base (81001276) intended for UR10e/UR16e size robots can achieve a maximum holding force of 4,960 lbf / 2,250 kgf on 0.5 in / 12.7mm optimal ferrous material.

The required thickness for a safe working load depends on the orientation of the robot, the payload, and max reach used in the application. It is recommended to have a 10x safety factor on the working load. Please reference the Magswitch User Manual or contact Magswitch Application Engineering to ensure proper guidelines have been followed
