The ASO SENTIR Safety Bundle is a safety solution for protecting both people and property in collaborative robot environments. This bundle integrates seamlessly with UR robots, offering advanced safety features through two pressure-sensitive sensors: SENTIR Safety Contact Mat: Designed to secure the robot's workspace, this pressure-sensitive mat can be configured to either stop the robot instantly or reduce its speed when stepped on. Encased in a durable, waterproof polyurethane seal, it can also be equipped with optional aluminum or stainless steel coverings for high-wear environments. SENTIR Safety Contact Bumper: Featuring a foam core and integrated sensor, the bumper halts the robot upon contact. Its artificial leather coating ensures durability and resistance to wear. ELMON Safety Relay: This relay acts as the communication link between the sensors and the robot, continuously monitoring safety functions (Safety Category 3 / Performance Level “d”). In essence, the SENTIR bundle delivers safety for your robot while allowing it to operate at reduced speed during interventions. Both the mat and bumper can be customized to meet your specific requirements, ensuring a tailored fit for your application.
The SENTIR Safety Mat acts as a surface sensor around the robot’s working area and is triggered when stepped on. Similarly, the SENTIR Safety Bumper, constructed with a foam core and extruded sensor, responds to contact. Upon activation, the sensors send an immediate signal to the ELMON Safety Relay, which transmits the stop command to the robot.
