T-Skin is designed for human and robot collaborative environments to enhance the protection for humans against robot collision and adding an additional layer to keep humans safe. It includes high-sensitive sensing components all over the module. Once T-Skin detects a collision on the robot, it will stop robot motion immediately.
Each T-Skin module is customized to cover a specific part of robot. It is fixed by screws on robot without any software installation or settings. T-Skin modules and T-Skin Safety Switch connect in series. T-Skin Safety Switch connects to the controller of robot or machine through the safe IO of the controller. These signal connections are redundant channels due to the architecture and security level. When one of the T-Skin output signal channels changes the status and informs robot controller the status change, the emergency stop will be triggered.
