After replacing critical parts as joints, tubes, base plate, etc it is recommended to perform a robot calibration to maintain its accuracy and repeatability.Our system makes it easy to restore the factory calibration performance as well as offers users the possibility to perform an enhanced calibration. With the enhanced calibration, you will be able to set up new or repaired robots with minimal deviation to previous individuals and by this avoiding time-consuming program adaptations.

The Cognibotics sensorless Cobot Calibration system makes calibration easy and accessible. After replacing critical parts as joints, tubes, base plate, etc it is recommended to perform a robot calibration to maintain its accuracy and repeatability.Our system makes it easy to restore the factory calibration performance as well as offers users the possibility to perform an enhanced calibration. With the enhanced calibration, you will be able to set up new or repaired robots with minimal deviation to previous individuals and by this avoiding time-consuming program adaptations.

The system is based on a Cognibotics patented technology called Clamping. Clamping is actuation of robot joints while the robot flange is locked in a number of predefined configurations while log data from robot internal sensors are used for calibration.

The robot is mounted on the clamping plate and the tool changer with valve panel and gauge block is connected to the robot flange. An initial set om positions are reached in before running the automatic calibration procedure.
