The deburring spindle is an air driven tool used either on end of arm or on a support. The tool can handle part tolerances up to 5 mm with its compensation. The necessary compensation is regulated with air pressure.

What is unique is the integrated sensor unit which monitors the radial deflection of the deburring spindle with an accuracy of 0.15°. The direction of the deflection is also determined. The spindle speed is controlled by a speed sensor. In fractions of a second the data is processed and transmitted to a tablet via Bluetooth in real time. With the VPort the data can be sent to the robot controller by cable. Communicating with the SPS the tool itself gives information about how pre-set thresholds are followed - and in case of extreme tolerances the spindle reacts faster by its compensation than the sent signal for an emergency stop signal iscoming into effect.
