The Kenos®️ SafeLight vacuum foam gripper is a robust and simple solution for a broad range of purposes, particularly palletizing in heavy duty applications in rugged and dusty environments. Thanks to its special design of a carbon fiber structure holding a foam made body, it is extremely lightweight allowing to make maximum use of the robot payload. Additionally, this design makes it a naturally adapted solution for collaborative applications. The KSL is available with check valve or flow restriction technology.
The Kenos®️ Safe&Light comes with a fixture that can be directly installed on the UR wrist. A tubing must be installed from the valve to the gripper to feed compressed air and the valve needs to be connected to the UR electrical cabinet. After these few steps, the Kenos®️ Safe&Light gripper is ready to be used with the URCap.
When the gripper is in contact with the product, the picking can be activated on the UR interface, this ativate the compressed air feed to the venturi on the gripper that creates vaccum on the product to handle.
Thanks to an array of holes in the interface foam many different shapes and sizes of product can be picked up with the same tool.
