The 3PE devices replace the freedrive button, maintaining simple one-button access to freedrive with the added functionality of robot motion stop with either button release or with button "over press" by the programmer.

Remote TCP & Toolpath URCap

The Remote TCP Toolpath URCap makes it easier to program Universal Robots for process applications, such as dispensing, deburring, polishing, etc. First, this URCap allows you to set Remote Tool Center Points (RTCP), where the tool center point is fixed in space, relative to the base of the robot. Second, it is also able to automatically generate robot motion based on an imported G-code toolpath file. When the robot is required to follow a complex trajectory for a dispensing or deburring application, it is much easier to program the toolpath based on a part model in the CAD/CAM software that the user is already familiar with. The user no longer needs to spend a long time programming waypoints and circle moves from the teach pendant. PROFIsafe for e-Series

PROFIsafe is an open-standard, industrial ethernet communications protocol. PROFIsafe adds an additional layer to PROFInet to allow functional safety communications over a single ethernet cable. PROFIsafe for e-Series eliminates the need for a bridging PLC or additional I/O modules, creating a cost savings, and simplification of wiring and programming across the entire workcell. SAFETY ALERTPROFI safe must be used with software version 5.18.1 or higher. This version addresses an issue with PROFIsafe when used with a Universal Robot (UR) that has a 3-Position Enabling device Teach Pendant (3PE TP). If you are using PROFIsafe, especially in conjunction with the 3PE Teach Pendant, please ensure all robots are updated to software version 5.18.1 or higher. Currently all e-Series robots ship with software 5.19 or higher.

SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface)

Standard Robot Command Interface (SRCI) is an open-standard for the command and data interface between a client Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a server (UR controller). SRCI adds an additional layer to PROFInet that allows the user to program the robot from the PLC. UR SRCI interpreter ensures a frictionless integration with Siemens PLCs, since Siemens is the first PLC Vendor supporting SRCI in the automation market. It has been released in two versions: Limited Release version URCap: Supports 20 Profile : Core functions and is free to use.
